Further public information sessions announced for Commonwealth Games

Warwick District Council has extended its programme of events for residents and businesses who are interested in finding out more about the preparations, programme and opportunities available as we build-up to this summer’s Commonwealth Games.

Thursday 7 April 3 pm to 7 pm – Community drop-in outside Leamington Town Hall.

Sunday 1 May 10 am to 4 pm – Community drop-in Warwick Food Festival, Market Square.

The events on Wednesday 6 April will contain presentations by the Birmingham 2022 team, Warwick District Council and Warwickshire County Council. They will cover some of the exciting events taking place in the run-up to the Games from the B2022 Festival, CultureFest as well as information about the Live Sites in Royal Leamington Spa and Warwick and advice for businesses.

Cllr Liam Bartlett, Warwick District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Culture, Tourism and Leisure commented:

“We’ve got a busy and exciting summer ahead, so need to make sure that everyone in our district is Games ready. This is a chance to find out more about the arrangements in place including travel and security, roles available and the amazing line up of international sport and culture that will be happening right on your doorstep.”
